Academic Discovery Day: Introduction to Latin American Art

Description: Discover what it's like to be a Panther Student at BMCC! Visit a class where students are examing Latin American art and architecture from pre-Columbian times to the present. A analysis of pre-Hispanic iconography, styles, traditions and techniques from Mesoamerica, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean opens the course. The course culminates in the exploration of Contemporary Latin American and Latina/o art, including Chicana/o art.
